It's CTE month and one of our teachers made a wonderful presentation at the school board meeting on Tuesday February 27th..
During the presentation, the accolades of our three student organizations( FBLA, FFA and SkillsUSA) were presented and some of our students were recognized by the board.
The Skilled Trades Scholarship Program promote continuing education among the electrical and mechanical skilled trade areas. With this program, students will obtain the necessary credentials and skill set needed to be successful in a skilled trades career. Students will achieve an associate degree, sponsored by Constellium. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on GPA, school attendance, letters of recommendation and interview process. Please come out Saturday and support your SkillsUSA students. The money from this event will be used to send them to Fairmont in March to compete in the State Leadership and Skills Conference!

Mason County Career Center's Sports Medicine students assisted their instructors from Rivers Health during the Jason Eades Memorial Duals Wrestling Tournament this weekend!
They gained real world experience by observing injuries in real time and assisting with blood clean up.
Mrs. Bale's embedded math students have been working on a gingerbread house project. They had to create a floor plan using available square footage, do a cost analysis and stay within given budget, use problem solving and creativity to design their house and do it all in square cm. Today they got to create a graham cracker version.
SkillsUSA students collected Christmas cards and signed them with holiday messages for the local nursing home and other agencies.
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" here at Mason County Career Center. Our ProStart program students have been working really hard on their gingerbread houses.

MCCC decorated a float to participate in our home schools homecoming parades. Last week was PPHS Homecoming. FFA also decorated a float to participate in the parade.
