Wahama FFA sent 8 members to the Ohio Beef Expo today to participate in their annual youth judging contest. Even with today turning out to be one of those “learning days” students had a chance to put all the hours in practice and class to use. As this spring winds down to just a couple contests in April I want to brag on the commitment and improvement this group has shown this year. I see great things coming for this group of young people.

Thursday members of the Wahama officer team visited New Haven Elementary to educate upcoming students on the opportunities and importance of FFA in our school. Today we finished up our FFA Week cornhole tournament. High school division winners were Grant Roush and Noah Miller. Middle school winners were Sophie Grey and Kierstyn Hart.(unpictured) FFA Week wraps up tomorrow with a trip to Apple Creek, Ohio to take part in the OSU ATI Livestock Judging Contest.

From Mrs. Kay - Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Thanks to this wonderful community Wahama now has 11 benches made from recycled plastic. This would have ended up in a landfill but instead look at these beauties. We have recycled 1,700 pounds of lids. That is 68 big black trash bags full. Please keep donating. We are moving toward picnic tables for our lunch area.
