Cookie Dough orders are arriving today between 1-2:00 p.m. Mrs. Fetty will be on the junior high side of the building from 3:30- 5:30 p.m. for those who can pick it up. Students may also take orders home with them if that is convenient.

Congratulations to Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School who received a $40,000 grant for musical instruments from the Save the Music Foundation #SaveThe Music #MasonProud


Academic Knight:
This past Friday night, we celebrated our academic scholars at the football game. We had over 100 students recognized for scoring "Exceeds Standards" on the West Virginia General Summative Assessment and SAT. We also recognized our National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta students. We are proud of our young scholars at PPJSHS.









Congratulations to our sophomores for earning their Academic Letter today! Students earned an academic letter for receiving a 3.75 grade point average in their freshmen year.

Anyone in Grades 10-12 interested in participating in the Teen Institute on November 14th needs to fill out an application and turn it in to the office by Monday, November 6th. Teen Institute is a drug/ alcohol prevention program for the students of Mason County. Applications can be found in the Offices.


PPJHS's Character Trait for September was "Attitude".
The following students earned the most points for showing what it means to have a Positive Attitude. This made them our September Students of the Month. Congrats to all, and keep up the good work!!

The winners of the 7th and 8th Grade PBIS Cookie Dough Fundraiser were:
1st place, and winner of the all-season sports pass, an extra 200 PBIS points, a t-shirt, and 1 week 5 minutes early out for lunch, was Kylee Layton
The top 2-5 sellers were: Makayla Hickman, Reylona Price, Sophie Randolph, and Kynadee Pethtel. These students received 150 PBIS points, a t-shirt, and 1 week 5 minutes early out for lunch pass. Congratulations


Academic Letters will be handed out next week during the SHIELD period. The criteria for a letter is a grade point average of 3.75 or better.

Wednesday, Oct. 25th- 12th Grade


Academic Night is scheduled for tomorrow night before the Big Blacks take on Robert C. Byrd High School.
Students will be recognized prior to the start of the game at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Invitations were sent home on Monday.
Note: If a student scores a 22 on the ACT and wishes to be recognized, have them contact Mr. Cottrill as soon as possible.


PPJSHS will host a Pep Bus for the Girl's Soccer Regional Championship on October 24th. The bus will leave the Main Entrance at 3:50 p.m. Cost is free. However, the student is responsible for food and tickets in the game.

Today, Mrs. Enos, Laney Wallace, and Nicole Patterson had the opportunity to represent Point Pleasant Junior Senior High School and our Community In Schools program at the Governor's luncheon. They spoke to Governor Justice, his wife Cathy, Baby Dog, and school leaders about what CIS means to them. They did AWESOME!!! We are so proud of them.
Community in School's mission is to surround our students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
