On March 24th and 25th, Twenty-Eight Mason County Career Center Students competed at the WV State Leadership and Skills Conference. These students competed in areas such as engineering, electrical, medical, welding, automotive, culinary and leadership skills. eight of these students brought home medals and the chapter won the Gold Chapter of Distinction award. This is the highest award a chapter can earn at the state level. We had a Gold medal winner, Hannah Lloyd in extemporaneous Speaking and she gets to compete in June and the National Leadership and Skills Conference. We also had a student, Robbie Hall, who was elected as a state SkillsUSA officer. We are very proud of all twenty - eight students who put the time and effort into going to this competition. it is not an easy thing to do.
